Xavier has over 25 years of global experience in technology investment banking. During his tenure on various European and US investment banking platforms, he advised large and mid-cap technology players active in application software, digital and managed cloud services and more recently in deep tech and artificial intelligence practices.

He led over one hundred transactions in mergers & acquisitions, capital raises, restructurings and initial public offerings. Key clients included Unit4, Systems Union, Logica, Tieto, SecureLink group, Conscia, KPN, Telenor amongst many others throughout EMEA.

Whilst nurturing his contacts with the larger technology leaders and keeping up to date with their strategic agenda, he leverages his sector knowhow and rich transaction background advising smaller technology companies aiming to become category leaders and acts as a trusted advisor and sounding board to entrepreneurs and founder-led companies by applying best practices gained during his long investment banking career.

Xavier also serves on the boards of several private technology companies.

Before co-founding WizeCap, Xavier was a senior managing director at Arma Partners, managing director at GCA Altium (now part of Houlihan Lokey), and Head of Technology Investment Banking at Oppenheimer & Co and ING (Barings).

He holds a master’s degree in business engineering from KU Leuven, MBA from Vlerick Business School, CFA, and an executive certificate in digital business strategy from MIT Sloan School of Management.
